Business Development Manager –US

Job Title: Business Development Manager, Nutraceutical supplements - USA

Location: Remote - USA

Reports to: President

Summary of Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for identification and development of growth opportunities through new lead generation in the various market segments we serve, but with a special focus on the nutraceutical and supplements market.

To excel in this role, you must be an active listener, able to make new connections in the market place and quickly develop an understanding of trends and market demands.

  • Attend various trade shows to identify leads and new needs.

  • Prepare periodic industry reports summarizing market trends.

  • Quickly locate new markets and convert leads to customers.

  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives in the space.

  • Establish good relationships with customers and distributors through market intimacy and understanding.

  • Increase opportunity size with existing customers while generating new opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University. MBA is a plus, but not required.

  • Experience in sales and marketing. We are looking for individuals who “get the essence” we do not count years of experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to travel ~ 50% of the time.

  • Comfortable with modern communications and productivity tools.

  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to handle complex timelines and perform under pressure while preserving ethical behavior and quality service.

  • Bilingual candidates will have an advantage, although not a requirement.

Compensation:

  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.

  • Sliding scale for commissions and profit sharing programs.
